We’re so delighted to have our local pub back - first day and we don’t want to tell anyone how much we enjoyed it. The staff are beautiful. THE SHIP IS BACK!!
Forget any old reviews, our local is back, UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT, new look , staff are not only super friendly but know there stuff with the beers and wines, such a warm welcome, dog friendly, kid friendly, decking is looking great, food to follow (5th may), do not be put off by the look of the outside( being refurbed soon), Alan, Michell, Jo and Elly (sorry for spelling) should be so proud, they also have their sister pub the chestfield barn close by, you have resurrected many peoples including myselfs local, anyone that may read this trust me on this!!!! This is THE place to drink/eat in herne bay, you can thank me later because you will not be disappointed ( what they have done so far and more to follow if I could give 6 stars I would!)

Great to have our landmark pub back. The decor now looks clean and tidy. The new outside furniture looks great!! The staff are really friendly and it has the best view overlooking the sea. We didn’t try the food but we’re saving that for another day.

What a place, beautiful place, friendly staff and lovely food. Would recommend to everyone can't wait to go back! Everything is clean and tidy and just lovely! Took my wife here and we love it!

Had the scotch egg and best I've ever eaten! Then the minted lamb burger and was to die for!

Top place make sure you try it out!

Went in today with my dog after our afternoon walk. Felt very welcome as a woman on my own and dog well and truly spoiled. Returned in the evening with my husband. Lovely convivial atmosphere. Very friendly staff. . Look forward to the kitchen opening too. So pleased to have this lovely pub as our local. Wishing all the team every success.

Recently under new management. Sat outside and had a delicious lunch; the menu is extensive so there is something for everyone. Even a veggie/vegan menu. Will definitely be back over the summer!

Had a lovely roast turkey on Sunday, service was excellent and the waitress were very polite and well mannered. Great atmosphere, good place and lots of families there. Will see you soon. Thank you for a nice visit.

Since the new owners have taken over , the pub is lovely and clean , the staff are all so friendly and the food is out of this world. Keep up the great work

so glad The Ship has opened again, went in there yesterday with my friend for a bottle of wine, lovely atmosphere, back to it's traditional way. So glad the fruit machine has gone & apparently pool table too. Lovely place now. Would recommend this pub.
